What is The Green Politics
Several disasters, including population growth, air and water pollution, destruction of tropical and temperate rain forests, rapid extinction of entire species of plants and animals, the greenhouse effect, acid rain, Ozone layer depletion, environmental degradation, and technological and innovation advancement prompted the formation of this movement. The green politics movements, which are concerned with environmental concerns and goals, are also referred to as Ecopolitics.
The Green Politics Movement is formed in response to disasters caused by humans.
Population growth is on the rise, pollution of the air and water, forests are being destroyed in both tropical and temperate regions, and the extinction of entire species of plants and animals in a short period of time.
The greenhouse effect is a phenomenon that occurs when greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere and cause:
- Acid Rain (Acid rain is a type of precipitation that contains acid).
- Depletion of the ozone layer.
- Degradation of the environment.
The green movements, which are concerned with environmental concerns and goals, are also referred to as Ecopolitics.
Since the early 1980s, green followers of green politics have defended and supported the movement, and they have taken an active role in conceptualizing the concepts of the movement including:
- Ecology.
- Conservation.
- Development that is long-term.
- Women Empowerment.
- The protection of human rights
- Movements for peace.
- Civil liberties are protected under the Constitution.
- Social justice is something that everyone should strive for.
The emergence of green movements was also prompted by cultural and political crises. A community that believes people have a superior or separate status from nature has had a role in the creation of this belief system.
Political viewpoints that are widely accepted in mainstream Green Politics are:
- Liberalism
- Socialism
- Conservatism
Green supporters are attempting to raise awareness and educate people on these issues:
- Environmental Sciences is a broad term that includes a variety of disciplines (Climate change, global warming, environmental events, and sustainable development)
- Management of Health, Safety, and Security (Health safety & environmental management in personal and professional life)
- International Relations (Global affairs, conflicts, treaties, war, and peace)
- The Right to Human Dignity (Women empowerment, social justice, child protection, food security, poverty, and non-violence)
- Current Affairs (Events all over the globe)
