 Warby Parker insurance was founded in 2010 by Wharton School students who saw that the vast majority of “designer” spectacles are essentially licensed to a few goliath eyewear companies and sold in bulk to optical stores. They realized that if they cut out the middleman by designing their glasses and selling them on the internet, they might save the client a lot of money.
